Step 1: Leads
Before you can make a pitch, you need to know WHO you’re going to pitch. This requires you to not only create Ideal LEAD Profiles, but also create an actual LIST of who fits that profile.

Step 2: Education
Once you know who you’re pitching, you need to Engage them in a compelling way that shows you’re creating value for them. This is not about being pushy or focusing on presentation over substance. It’s about EDUCATING them on the opportunity they weren’t aware of before.

Step 3: Ask
Once you’ve done the first two steps, it’s time to make the ASK. Don’t just imply it, make it explicit. What’s more, be ARTICULATE in what you’re asking for and what you’re giving in return to make it as easy as possible for them to say yes.

STEP 4: Partner
Most people talk about relationship building in sales. But what does that mean? You want your stakeholders to not only give you PRAISE that you can share. You want them to PROSELYTIZE on your behalf to bring more stakeholders into your orbit.
